Meet Mary
Hi, I’m Mary!
I’m an LPC Associate offering virtual therapy for individuals and couples in Texas. My work is rooted in the belief that therapy should be useful, honest, and tailored to real life.
Before becoming a therapist, I had a winding career path that shaped how I show up for clients: I’ve worked in career coaching, wildlife rehabilitation, HIV and STI education, and college enrollment. Because I’ve navigated professional pivots myself, I have a soft spot for clients who feel like they’re “supposed” to have it figured out by now. As a therapist, I bring skills from all my experiences together and help people move through stuck places with clarity and support.
In my work, I focus on life transitions and issues like anxiety, burnout, self-trust, and relationship struggles. I especially enjoy working with individuals who are trying to untangle who they are from who they’ve been told to be, and couples who want to reconnect and communicate more honestly. I use approaches like IFS (Internal Family Systems/parts work), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), and pattern exploration work, while keeping our conversations grounded and human.
Clients often tell me they appreciate that I’m straightforward, warm, and collaborative. Therapy with me is a space to think out loud, be challenged gently, explore your identity, and figure out what you actually want — and how to get there.
