National Domestic Violence Hotline

Services Provided: The advocates who answer the hotline talk through the situation with the caller and support them in coming up with solutions. They educate callers about what abuse can look like. They may assist the caller in making a safety plan which includes themselves and any children or pets in the home. This hotline also takes calls from abusers who are concerned about their behavior and supports them in finding intervention programs.

Services Provided: This 24/7 community-based hotline and non-profit organization focuses on offering immediate emotional and financial assistance to transgender individuals during difficult times. Trans Lifeline's volunteers are familiar with the specific obstacles encountered by young transgender people. They aim to provide a confidential and empathetic environment to openly address emotions, difficulties, and emergencies.

Services Provided: This hotline provides support and local resources for people in Travis County who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Integral Care has multiple locations. For urgent mental health care, people can walk in to Psychiatric Emergency Services at the Richard E. Hopkins Behavioral Health Building.

Services Provided: The SAFE Alliance provides advocates for victims of sexual assault who need emotional support and information about their options moving forward. They can be deployed to medical facilities, or victims have the option to undergo a forensic exam at the Eloise House. All services are free of charge and confidential for clients. They also provide temporary shelter for individuals and families who have escaped domestic violence, and long term housing for those who need support.

Services Provided: The Hope Alliance provides a 24 hour hotline as well as access to group and individual counseling related to domestic violence. In a crisis situation, they provide emergency housing as well as an advocate to help manage the client’s case and talk through their options. Finally, they offer legal advocacy, where they will gather information about a client’s case and refer them to the appropriate legal resources.
