A consultation call is a free, 15-minute phone or video call to see if we’re a good fit. It’s a chance for you to share a little about what you're looking for, ask any questions you have, and get a feel for how I work to determine if you want to move forward.

Therapy is a space to sort through what’s on your mind, gain insight, and make changes that matter to you. We’ll meet regularly to explore what’s working, what’s not, and what you want to shift. Along the way, we might identify patterns, learn new tools, or try different ways of approaching problems. It’s a collaborative process, and we’ll adjust as we go to make sure the work stays helpful.

The first session is about getting oriented. We’ll talk through what’s bringing you in, go over any relevant history, and begin identifying goals for our work together. You don’t need to come in with everything figured out — just be yourself. I’ll guide the process and check in along the way to make sure you feel comfortable.

Yes, all therapy sessions are held via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth. You can attend from anywhere in Texas, as long as you’re physically located in the state during our session.

Although family is in the name, this is an approach that is often used with individuals. Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapeutic approach that helps you understand the different “parts” of yourself. IFS can be hands-on and experiential, and aims to build more compassion toward these parts so you can feel more integrated, grounded, and in charge of your choices.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a mindfulness-based approach that helps you relate to your thoughts and emotions in a more flexible, less reactive way. Instead of trying to eliminate difficult feelings or control every thought, ACT helps you accept what’s outside your control and commit to actions that move you toward your values.

I do not accept insurance. As an LPC Associate in Texas, I’m not permitted to bill insurance directly. However, I can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) you can submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. If you're considering this option, check with your provider about your mental health benefits.

Generally, yes. However, there are a few exceptions related to safety. If there’s a risk of harm to you or someone else, or if abuse of a child, elderly person, or dependent or incarcerated adult is disclosed, I’m required to report it. We’ll go over this in more detail in your first session.
